In Which You Learn Useless Stuff About Me

I've changed a little in the 5 years since I started this blog.  I've gotten married, moved jobs 4 times, been made redundant twice, gotten pregnant, had a baby, moved out of London, completed Nanowrimo once and had several lengthy blog hiatuses. Here's me in 2009, 2011, 2012 + 2014!

I've done a couple of "about me" posts (here and here), but thought it was time for a new one - and a game of blog tag! I've tagged some bloggers that I love in this post. I challenge them to answer these questions too and, if they feel like it, do a picture collage covering the time they've been blogging. So here goes:

• What makes me happy is... Baby45, Husbando, wine, climbing, sunny days, stupid animal gifs, Buzzfeed lists, helping someone achieve something, fancy dress, sparkly shoes, good eyeliner, tequila.
• This much I know is true... life is short, eat dessert first. I find that saying works on many levels. Just, don't waste time, if you see an opportunity jump on it. And if you don't know how to do something, figure it out - that's what Google is for :) 
• I am...extroverted, shy, frizzy-haired, stretch-marked, tired, loyal, energetic, intense, anxious, lovable. A mum, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a friend, a colleague, a blogger, a rock climber, a runner, a dancer, a writer, a depressive, a creative.
• I would like to be...not sleep deprived, a published author, a better mummy, a better climber, tougher, less judgemental, calmer, more organised, able to contribute more.
• Something that keeps me up at night is...what, aside from Baby45?! Worrying, worries keep me up at night, money, work, parenting, friends, family life, cooking. The usual shtick.
• One thing I have learned from blogging is... that i like talking a lot and writing a lot and meeting people a lot. Actually this is a really hard one to answer. Blogging has helped me learn lots of basic web/social media skills, I've also met some lovely amazing people and am in awe of the talent out there. I guess blogging really has shown me that the world is your oyster and many opportunities are there for the taking.
